I think you should wait about half an hour and check back to see if they’ve displayed properly or not. I’ve seen the same thing before and I just waited and they displayed properly after awhile or so.

Question: We had ads by adsense on our website. They were up for about 3 weeks. Out of the blue they now read, ‘ the web site cannot be found’, and where the google ads once were are no longer. Do any of you know why, goggle would have removed these ads off our site or blocked them, or is this an internal problem with our site. We signed back up with adsense, and still cannot get the ads to display. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hmmm. I disabled it and it was removed from my site instantly. I guess it might take longer for some users, but I don’t understand why that would be. It’s a javascript thing so it should be deactivated instantly.

It doesn’t work instantly at my site, but it can take some time according to this link:

Once you disable the “advertise on this site” you should never see it again across all your sites. If you still see it check to make sure you did disable it and make sure the google ads are yours, meaning they show your pub-id. It works instantly because it’s built into the adsense script, that is why the ads by gooogle appeared in the first place. Google never asked us to republish our code, they just enabled it themselves. Anyway hope that clears things up. Glad you found this post usefull.

I removed it last night, and that link is still on my ads.. hrmmm

Maybe you do have to publish the code

Once you disable the Ads by Gooooooogle in the adsense admin it will be removed from all your ads. There is no need republish any of the adsense codes you already have in place.
