The normal title I use for this site is “web design and SEO” which I've been using for quite some time now. I decided to change the title to “website design and internet marketing” earlier today… about 8 hours ago. Previous to that my title was “web design and SEO” but now just 8 hours later my new title is already showing up in Googles results. This is astonishing to me. They have already indexed my site and have updated their search results to include my new title.

This is the fastest I've ever seen Google update. Maybe Google is speeding up it's indexing process. A few years back Google would update it's complete index in about a month but in the last couple of years it has taken months to update. I'm talking about 3 – 6 months before their search results updated and then the pagerank would update.

Maybe they are moving back to a quicker updating process? Maybe all the fuss over this last pagerank update has made them change their ways? If I were Google I'd definitely speed up the indexing and ranking process since so many changes occur on a day-to-day basis. They don't want to lose their followers.
