Or as you pointed out in your most recent post the fact that it seams like "Google have lost their focus" and have forgotten where they've come from. Believe I have still plenty of sites that heavily rely on Google. My ongoing experiment will give me a better idea of what I have to do to not depend on G as much as I did in the past. You might of just had a low PR4 meaning you were actually closer to a 3 then a 5. So dropping to a 2 wasn't that big of a drop. I certainly wouldn't use disallow on your site just because it went to a 2. PR doesn't really matter and if you check your stats you probably still rank for a lot of keywords even though your pagerank was lowered. But now since you are denying the Googlebot you certainly won't rank for anything in their SERPS. I was going to post about this about a week ago before we left for the Canary Islands.
